A book to think about...

This book isn't really a sequel to the other 2 books in this series. The main character is not featured in book 2, and the only character from book 2, is Gwen Carson, who had a small part in book 2. That being said, I thought this book was great. Jillian takes over for her twin, Judith, at her job in an Arizona Harvey Restaurant. The novel follows her as she struggles to find her faith, and to reconcile her love and respect for her parents with her growing sense of independence. She also seeks to find her place in the world.
Ms. Peterson is able to bring to live the struggle between the white man and the Indians in the late 1800s. By using Jillian to act as conscience for the community, she allows Jillian to point to people in the community as hypocrites. I saw this role as extremely important in the book. By the time the showdown between the town and Jillian arrives, I was ready for someone to take a stand.
I would heartily recommend this book to anyone. You don't even have to read the other 2 books first.

Compelling intrigue, romance and living with deceipt!

A Veiled Reflection is the third book in the series about the Harvey House girls and this one is superb! Jillian agrees to pretend to be her twin sister, Judith and this starts her life in Arizona off on the wrong foot - that of living in deceipt. She obviously has trouble performing like her trained sister and runs into a few people who know the difference. When she falls in love, she is sure it is one-sided. The man she loves has a secret past and refuses to love again. The Navajo Indians are represented in this book and are loved and ministered to by one old lady, Mary. Prejudice and hatred show their ugly faces even between civilized white people who think they are Christians. A few refuse to be drug into the garbage and end up being forced to take a stand. This is excellent reading, good for making some religious and political stands, and romantically it is suberb!

Love this book

As I'm a big fan of the Author so I was really excited to read this book. And I wasn't disappointed, although it reminded me of her other series Against all odds, but it was different In so many ways. I loved the character's and the storyline the build-up to the end of part one was nice. I hope it don't take her long for part two. As for the five stars I gave that because of the character build-up, the way that the Author didn't rush the storyline, and just overall a good part one of a book...Hope you enjoy the book like I did.

Yes buy it ... Apply it

I was very pleased with Amazon and the excellent service that I received. You'll need to diligently apply what is being taught in this book but you will see a change. All books by Charles Capps are excellent. Everyone is at different levels in their lives, but to read his books (like this one), listen to him on radio or podcasts are an extreme encouragement!! There's a reason that we are to guard our tongues. Hopefully, many readers who purchase his books (like this one), tapes, cds or listen to him on radio and tv will be able to realize how much easier it becomes with proper training to live as Christ did. Please don't read thru the book and discard it. If you desire intimacy with God then there must be a lifestyle change/apply it! Remember in prayer to ask the Father to bring new revelation to your heart.

I hoped to love this, but so far the information has been very basic and common sense. Really the reason for the 3 stars is that this was not well edited for kindle. Almost 3-4 times per sentence half of the letters per word will be missing, which leads to some interesting brain teasers to decipher what you are trying to read ... and i am good with puzzle/games! But i do adore Dashama.

Est�e T�r�k, Clinician Scientist Fellow & Senior Research Associate, University of Cambridge, UK,Ed Moran, Clinical Lecturer in Infectious Diseases, University of Oxford, UK,Fiona Cooke, Consultant in Microbiology, Hinchingbrooke Hospital, Huntongdon, UK

Est�e T�r�k trained in Infectious Diseases and Medical Microbiology in Oxford. Prior to this she was a Clinical Research Fellow based at the Oxford University Clinical Research Unit in Vietnam. Her research interests are HIV, tuberculosis, central nervous system infections and the development of diagnostic tests for the developing world.

Ed Moran is a registrar in Infectious Disease and General Medicine. He trained in Cambridge, studied for the Diploma in Tropical Medicine in Liverpool and undertook his PhD in Dengue Fever immunology in Oxford and Vietnam. He has worked as a physician in the UK and South Africa, and is currently based at the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford.

Fiona Cooke trained in Medical Microbiology in London and Cambridge. She completed her PhD at the Wellcome Trust Sanger Institute. Her interests are gastro-intestinal infections, bacterial genomics and the development of molecular tests.
