Very happy with this book!

With the growing appreciation of curvy and plus size body shapes this book couldn't have come at a better time. I love the unique format because it doesn't just describe examples with random photos but gets more specific with over 50 photo shoots. The author includes posing, props, equipment, and shooting data for each session which is a wealth of information and inspiration. She also shares her tried and true poses that work for just about any woman.
There are ideas and tips for a range of body types as subjects in the book range from a size 14 and up. Even little things like the best verbiage to direct your subjects (like tactful ways to tell your clients to *suck their stomach in*) are covered. There are also a range of lighting situations and locations from studio to outdoors.
Because there are so many variations of beauty photography and portraiture, this book is actually useful to more than just boudoir photographers...for instance posing tips could be applied for wedding photographers during a bridal portrait session or portrait photographers who shoot curvier women.
Overall, a great source of inspiration and a must for any boudoir or feminine portrait photographer, whether newbie or seasoned pro.

This is a good book that shows the intricacies of posing larger women

This is a good book that shows the intricacies of posing larger women. The emphasis is on how to hide bulging parts. There are some great words of advice on a variety of little details on creating proper exposure and looks on people's faces. I would have given it five stars but I believe the premise of hiding bulges suggests that people with bulges are not pretty and special poses are necessary to hide troublesome places. I am more interested in exploring capturing the beauty of people regardless of their size and without hiding the bulges.

Essential as a posing guide of BBW boudoir

If you are shooting, or thinking of shooting, boudoir for plus size gals and like to have a handy reference of poses, Tammy has a great compendium of poses that rock for these gals. As a quick visual reference of pose choices for the bigger ladies, I like keeping her book close to hand. Her text is clear and crisp in demonstrating enough of the the why of the poses. Many of the poses repeat... As they should. There are some key repeating angles that work with the curvier women. So you get to see pose variations with different women in slightly different settings. to well illustrate the variations. A must have to save yourself countless hours of figuring it out yourself, while potentially damaging the self image of big gals whom you haven't caught from their best angles.
